Hi, I’m Heather.

As a young child, before I had ever heard of bio-luminescence, I chased fireflies in my yard. I was drawn in by the mystery of a creature that could actually light up and seemingly turn the light on and off at will. I loved to jump in leaf piles even though I had no idea why the trees dropped their leaves each fall. And I loved to blow dandelion fluff in the wind, before I was aware that I was helping to distribute their seeds.

As I grew, I learned about these mysteries. The more I learned, the more my curiosity amplified. With an insatiable appetite for observing and learning about natural phenomena, I went on to study at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, receiving a B.S. in Life Sciences Communication – Science Writing and a M.S. in Landscape Architecture.

Today, I love to bird, garden, and create nature-inspired art. I continue to learn and explore as I listen to nature’s whispers. I am excited to share my reflections with you.
